LOST IN TRANSLATION! my favorite films! i also thought of lost in translation when you mentioned flaneur presented in movies.

i also thought of Anthony Bourdain, a celebrity chef/ writer / TV host / traveller. although classified as a food show, but its not all about food. watching his shows, you can feel how he reads and responds to the things and people he comes across along the way, which is unlike the typical travel/food show. He reads "the texts" critically and in humorous and well written words and/or narratiion he shows audiences what he reads. there are quite a number of anthony bourdain shows on youtube ... attached is one of them, starring him in asia, a place where he claims to most amaze him
